What Makes Me Happy, Part II

I love him because he will take in a stray that poops everywhere.
I love him because he never missed a volleyball game (except when he was at Jack's football game)
I love him because he will dress up for Diwali and tell me I look good as an Indian woman.
I love him because he took my little girl to the Daddy/Daughter dance when his face was paralyzed and I'm sure he didn't feel like dancing.
I love him because he built me my dream house.
I love him because he took our dying 16 year old cat to the vet for her final farewell.
I love him because he will pay a Mexican caddie for 9 holes - even when he doesn't really need/want one.
I love him because he watches Jack's games with such intensity.
I love him because he will play German scrabble on a boat when he knows he's going to win.
I love him because he will take me to Germany and pretend to be an organ grinder - even tho' he hates Germany and swore he would never go there.
I love him because he used to hold "The Beast" in his lap.

I love him because he took me to Wimbledon - a pure fantasy for me.
I love him because he took on the 13 year olds in Paint Ball and got shot in the neck.
I love him because he never missed a single track meet.
I love him because he plays tennis with me -- even tho' he has two fake hips.
I love him because he likes my best friend - but not in a weird way.
I love him because he lets dogs sleep in the bed with us.
I love him because he loves to shop!

I love him because he let me put this painting of a ram up in our study - even tho' he hates it.
I love him because he bought me a beach house once.
I love him because he is generous - to a fault.
I love him because he sees the beauty and wisdom of my 95 year old grandmother.
I love him because he will still get in a wet suit and swim around with sting rays.

Staci this made me cry. I love him because he loves you...and because he doesn't hate me. He suffers fools gladly.

And the way he sits with Mer every Sunday on the protestant pew with that protective arm around her shoulders. And the way he hauls carloads of teenage boys to get burgers for Sat. lunch. And the way he laughs off shampoo bubbles filling his jacuzzi and spilling into his pool. And the way he good naturedly chuckles as same teenage boys rearrange upstairs furniture and procede to "wrestle" and almost make the ceiling cave in. And the way he allows Jr. boys from church spend the night for D-now and play electric guitars "jammin'" the night away...And then brags on how good they sounded the next morning at church...my goodness! G acts more Christian than..well...a lot of Christians I know. Staci you two are the world's perfect match. You are both blessed with each other.

Popcorn - I couldn't have said it better. I am so blessed. I thank God every day for the Hammerin' Hebrew (well...every other day, at least.)
